My name is Evan Carrell, and I am currently in my last semester of the Accelerated Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at the University of New England. I have a previous Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from UNE as well, which was derived from my two years of prerequisites and two years of pharmacy graduate school. While gaining both of these degrees, I have worked as a medical laboratory assistant for Maine Medical Center, which allowed me to witness other roles in a hospital setting, and allowed me to develop a dedicated interest in nursing. At this time, I have accepted a position at Maine Medical Center in the Medical ICU, and will begin in early July on the condition that I pass the NCLEX.
